As of November 2, 2017, approximately 29 percent of Colorado is experiencing abnormally dry conditions (shown below in yellow) and 1 percent of the state is in moderate drought (shown in tan). This is a worsening of conditions compared to three months ago, but a significant improvement compared to this time last year, when more than 90 percent of the state was abnormally dry or experiencing moderate drought. Recent rain and snowfall should lead to improvement in coming weeks.
