On the way to London this past summer, Bill and his family had a layover in Iceland. As Bill is a hydrogeologist, he could not pass up the opportunity to spend a few extra days exploring the unique landscape and water features.
Bill and his family were able to see the midnight sun, many waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers, ride Icelandic horses, relax in thermal pools, see many volcanoes, and see the colorful Puffins.
But best of all, Bill got to stand on the North American tectonic plate and the Eurasian tectonic plate at the same time.
