As of November 16, 97 percent of Colorado is experiencing abnormally dry or drought conditions with more than 39 percent of the state experiencing severe (orange), extreme (red), or exceptional (dark red) conditions.
This is an increase from three months ago when 43 percent of the state was experiencing some degree of drought. The conditions are not significantly drier now than a year ago when 100 percent of the state was experiencing some degree of drought.
As of November 17, statewide snowpack levels are at 72 percent of normal.
