As of December 12, more than 71 percent of Colorado is experiencing abnormally dry (yellow) or drought (orange) conditions. This is an increase from three months ago when 49 percent of Colorado was experiencing some degree of abnormally dry or drought conditions. The conditions are less dry now than this time last year when 82 percent of the state was experiencing some degree of abnormally dry or drought conditions.
Statewide snowpack levels are currently 133 percent of normal.
